umonkeyz 0 Posted September 27, 2010 hi, ive bought some porsche 928 16x7 wheels to run over the winter, and im thinking of putting some proper winter tyres on. for summer wheels i would put on 195/45/16 but i want a bit more prtection for the rim incase i rub a kerb. (even though they are winter i dont want to wreck them, and i dont really want to run heavy steels for 3-4 moths) do you think 215/40/16 would be widest to sesibly go? ive seen some cheapish winters that are 205/55/16 but i think they would have to much height in the side wall, i just want some extra width. any idea what would be best? :notworthy: thanks. sam
