Throttle switch

Recommended Posts

Ok whilst takingn photos for my other thread on the ISV, I noticed this:-

(sorry if the photo is a bit blurry - early in the morning, and just had a double espresso x 2

Is that right?

The engine if off, should the metal tab not be rotated fully around to sit against the switch?

At idle it should be resting on the switch.

Try moving the switch bracket closer (the two small screws next to each other in the middle of your pic).

If it doesn't move enough, just bend the metal tab carefully so it engages. Easily sorted :)

Also may be worth changing and adjusting your cable. A new cable is well worth it!

Once I put in the new ISV, found that the throttle was set too high.

Probably to compensate at idle.

Now reduced, and looks bang on the switch
