philie 0 Posted October 10, 2010 Hi guys, Just a quick one has any one got a pic and a list of relays needed for a g60.My horns are not working and looking at a diagram I got position 11 is for the horns but there is nothing there on my car and I dont know what sort of relay to get for it, a picture of the fuse box would be great if someone has it so I can make sure im not missing anything else and that all the correct relay's are there. Thanks.
mimjed 0 Posted October 10, 2010 its unusual for a relay to go, or just soley to be used for the horn. Im in turkey so cant help much at the mo. I assume you have checked the fuse itself. Try the wiring into the fuse board. And there is a connection near the battery which looks the same as the one to the fog lights. You should have 12v all the time on the live wire. If you use the search, an old thread of mine should come up i think. Mine turned out to be a fault in the wiring after the connection near the battery. Supercharged 2 Posted October 11, 2010 Yep that's correct, it's a number 53 and should be mounted upside down, the relay in position 10 is also a 53 so you can move that accross one to test. New ones are around a fiver from VW but you'll probably find it under the seat. Fuse number 13 controls this circuit and the switch works by taking a live from the steering column switch plugs and earthing through the column itself to complete the circuit and activate the relay.
