which clocks for tdi?

Recommended Posts

Hi all, im new to the forum seems a very good base for information - a lot more than i was expecting. In the near future i will be undertaking a tdi corrado conversion possibly a pd not too sure yet. I have been trying to get hold of Supercharged on here as i believe he has a pd tdi in his Corrado but cant PM. Am wondering which clocks he is using in his or any other corrados? i have seen 2 types of b4 passat tdi clocks one with a digital readout and 1 with a mk2 golf style mileometer, which one do i need? or can both be used? will the mfa work in the corrado with a pd diesel? I know theres a lot of questions but want to make sure as then i can have the best of both worlds economy in a classic daily vw.

Thanks

from what I've seen there are a couple of ways to do it (without using stand alone engine management)

either you fit the mk4 clocks into the corrado dash, or you use the corrado clocks and run the mk4 clocks behind the dash.

Im not planning on keeping any ofthe mk4 clocks etc as im going to get the immobiliser defeated so no need for clocks/keys plus i want to keep it as corrado as possible using corrado dash and using the passat clocks as theyre very similar, but this is if i am going down the pd route. Also on a diesel you cannot go aftermarket management which is a shame really even tho there are some in development. If using tdi 110 out of an ibiza could b4 passat clocks work this way? im interested to see what supercharged's corrado setup is with the pd and what others have done.

Thanks for your input tho i know many 20v turbo conversions are done like this but dont fancy this route at all to be honest.

Thanks
