rear caliper 93 corrado vr6

i have a 93 corrado vr6 i was replacing the brake disk pads and hoses at the weekend and when putting the rear caliper back on i found i could not wind the piston back enough, it seems about 3-4 ml to much and i cant get it on over the new pads, i have taken it apart and seems ok handbrake seems to move ok?

 

any thoughts

 

 

also i now need to replace the brake line that goes from the bias switch across the car to the of side under the exhaust heat sheild, is there a easy way of getting it under there or do i need to drop the exhaust and sheild down????

The rear caliper pistons wind and turn at the same to anti or clockwise, most people buy the tool from halfords or a motor manufacturers

i used the g clamp and turned the piston also it went in fine but just not enough!!

Did you undo the bleed nipple to let the excess fluid out as you pushed the piston back

Should just flow back to the reservoir :scratch:

(NB: Reversing caliper pistons on the Corrado without relieving the back pressure created in the feed pipes by using the winding tool has been known to blow the ABS valves and cause permanent damage. So do open the bleed valve so no back pressure builds up, applies front or rear calipers.)
