Enkoder 0 Posted October 31, 2010 Evenin' ppl........ Thought i'd find a suitable place to ask questions and sift thru the FAQ's and how to's as im now the proud owner of my 1st Corrado all be it an old one, G reg 90, 16V 1.8.... But its only for now and again anyway, not my daily commute, got a 'mk4 GT TDi AHF 110' for that.... i just swapped it for my SORN mk2 helios 3door 16v golf, which was a solid chassis but the engine was in dire need of replacing.... my only gripe is that in the dark it looks like its 2 different cars as the panels arent colour matched, are there 2 particular paint codes that are very close to each other? at a glance ive seen Tornado Red, Flash Red, Mars Red, Not sure as of yet which colour it is, but it is a G reg.... here's a brief pic, plans would be, cosmetic atm......smoked/red rear lights (maybe inpro fronts) havent seen any decent alternative lights & parts are few & far between managed to keep my estorils from my mk2, as new Gd Yr Eagle f1's all round, although they need refurbed....as the laquer has cracked 128k on the clock, slow windows (lazy regs?) oh.....and in the early corrado's (like mine) is the rear spoiler automatic? as mine only goes up & down at the switch!

krnau 0 Posted November 1, 2010 hello!! does your mfa show the average speed? there is a speed sensor behind the cluster that may have gone faulty and so your spoiler won't go up and down automatically

Enkoder 0 Posted January 4, 2011 hello!! does your mfa show the average speed? there is a speed sensor behind the cluster that may have gone faulty and so your spoiler won't go up and down automatically think the only thing that works on the MFA is the oil temp.... everything else reads duff. (no display) except maybe the clock

Enkoder 0 Posted January 6, 2011 Is it part of the circuitry of the speedo cluster? Ie on the PCB?
krnau 0 Posted January 6, 2011 Is it part of the circuitry of the speedo cluster? Ie on the PCB? if the speedo is analog, then you have to take it out of the dash and you'll find the sensor just where the speedo cable plugs into it. its held in place by 2-3-4 (can't remember) small screws. there's no need to dismantle the speedo ;) I can't find any pic of that VSS, but if you can't locate it... upload a picture of the back side of the speedo and I'll show you where it should be :)
