Warning - eBay Corrado mirror glass

Thought I'd give the above a try to compare to the Halfords ones that don't quite fit... they sent me 2 MK2 Golf ones, emailed them twice and heard nothing so tried to get through on phone, after several attempts got to speak to someone who checked 'the catalogue' and confirmed that the MK2 Golf part also covered the Corrado - I told him they were completly different and he said I must have aftermarket mirrors and won't offer a refund!!! - luckily I paid by Paypal and they should recover the cost - just to save anyone else the hassle!

How come you didn't get genuine heated mirrors?

drivers side door mirror heated glass is obsolete from vw , passenger side i think is still available.

Probably something to with being fourty quid each :eek:

 

I got some off ebay. Good but not excellent fit. Stuck them over the old ones and ran a bead of black silicone around the edge/gap and smoothed it out. They look pretty OE now. £11 for the pair delivered. :clap:

I just bought some smoked side repeaters from passion_automotive. The fit is terrible, they're made by 'Autobar'

 

I contacted passion to let them know and they refunded me straight away. Fantastic Service, just a shame about the product.

Well, 6 weeks after the original transaction and after various phone calls and emails I finally got my £5 back...

 

Obviously wasn't worth the hassle but it annoyed me.

 

Absolutely useless company to deal with and I can see why some people don't use eBay
