aaron-j 0 Posted November 9, 2010 every now and then i get a burning smell but i cant place the smell, it seems a familier smell but just cant plase it! i dont think its oil coz im not getting any blue smoke, the only smoke i get from the exhaust is thick white smoke but that goes when engine warms up. i think it only happens on shorter journeys around town and only when the engine is warm, i had a long 100 mile trip the other day and it didnt smell at all! the smell only last about 30 seconds to a minute and then it goes away and lastly only once i seen a puff of smoke come from under bonnet just as it started smelling, it was on the drivers side about 6 inches from the windscreen any ideas guys???
