Mk4 Golf Recaro's?

Recommended Posts

Areet there chaps.

Just a random question really, has anyone tried to fit Mk4 Golf Recaro's in their Corrado? I realise the bases etc will be quite high but i've seen it done in Mk2 Golf's and just wondered if there is anyone on here who's done it.

Is it at all similar to the Audi TT seats?

Cheers.

I'd imagine they'd be very similar to tt seats, will defo need work on the height though. I've been thinking about heated cloth recaros for some time now aswell!

Aye just got a set close to me that could be attainable and curious how much work is involved if anyone has done it!

So please chaps if you have shed some light. :salute:

The seats are very wide at the base.. I'd see if you could trial fit a pass side in place as Im not sure it would sit right.

Custom subframe is gonna be a pain too, but okay if you're handy with a welder

i had mk4 seats in my rado. in my opinioin id choose something else. Width wise they are fine but the fram needs chopping about as on the mk4 the runners are at different heights and also the rails will need to be brought in. The floor will need to be chopped around aswell to allow the mk4 bracket to be bolted to it.

After all that you will still have problems with the headrest hitting the ceiling when you try and tilt the seat forward
