Crank case breather pipe?

Recommended Posts

Can I just disconnect this pipe from the inlet metering head and have a breather filter directly on the tube that comes from the engine or do I have to run a catch tank?

Also if I run a catch tank where do I direct it back into the engine other than the air inlet system?

I am trying to avoid making my air inlet all oily and black.

You'd be best of with a catch tank, otherwise all the oil vapour will get your engine bay pretty messy. Run a hose from the block to the catch tank, then a small filter on the outlet of the tank. This way the vapour will condense in the catch tank and not ruin your engine bay!
