Impressive route, a lot of 80's hatches there. Have been in a driven most, 205 was probably the purist but sod having even the smallest of bumps in them. There is a reason they are quick...

Anyway there is a thread going about with folks previous cars on here somewhere. I cant believe some folk have had the same car for 13years.

Im VW biased on mine as you can see:

1.3 Mk2 Golf

8v Mk2 Gti

16v Polo

8v Corrado

G60 Corrado

VR6 Mk3 Golf

8v Mk2 Gti

16v Corrado

16v Corrado

VR6 Mk3 Golf

4motion Golf

Tdi Mk5 Golf

Leon Cupra R

S3

Mk4 Tdi + Corrado VR6

Passat 1.8T + Corrado VR6

4mo Golf + Corrado 24V VR

Mk4 Tdi + Corrado VR6T

Mk5 Golf Gti + Corrado VR6T

Some impressive cars there- 4motion, S3, 24V VR6 stand out for me- but in some ways the Mk2 GTi's probably best, just as pure driving experience- much more raw. The silly Astravan 200ps I've got is quicker in a straight line than all the other cars I've had before- but the flimsy 205's were best fun(in my memory anyway   )

Enjoying my 'new' Corrado- once I've got it fixed up the way I like, should be great. I've done thorough soundproofing, am about to refurb leather, then its fix the rattles and squeaks, then get the minor paint bits fixed (few chips/blemishes). Latest thought is having the dash finished in matching cream leather- will make it feel much more special inside, getting away from hard black plastic. Hmmm- obsession is around the corner..... :nono:

Calling me a liar???!!

I'd sooner save/spend it on the car I have than loose money with every car change. Few mods, late spec upgrades, ICE tweeks etc. Plus there is zero chance of getting a dud if I stick with the one I know!! Got it with 79.5k on it now has 202.5k on it - Love it 8)
