LowG 0 Posted February 18, 2004 Due to some rattling i been getting latley from exhaust i removed it today, i have a 2.5" decated custom exhaust. It has 3 silencer including the backbox, after i removed it i found out that in the midd silencer the insulating cloth or fibreglass was all gone :shock: , So all it was left was the little tube with holes in it which is used as the passage way. My first silencer and backbox seemed fine. has anyone had this problem in a G60? Im suspecting this has been due to runing rich for a while, and also backfiring. Switched the car on with just the cat bypas attached and bloody hell sounds like a freaking tank.
