91 corrado g60 potential car

Hey guys.

I'm a highschool student who's looking for my first car. I saw this corrado on craigslist for a really good price. It's a 91 G60, that he says is supercharged.There are 195000 kilometers on it. It needs a tuneup, there is a little rust on the hood, and drivers rear fender. The clear coat is starting to peal in areas aswell. I've got him down to $1500.

 

Is this a steal or a life of problems for a person whom is looking for his first car?

How difficult would it be to drop in a low km VR6?

 

I don't gave much info on these, other than this forum.

 

Is a late 90s vr6 golf a better car than a corrado?

Tbh, as a first car they're both out of most peoples reach here in the UK. Where you are i'm not too sure and it depends on how handy you are with a spanner or how deep your pockets are for maintenance?

 

195k G60 for $1500 sounds fine aswell btw.
