G60 Idle problems

When i cold start my 90 g60 it idles around 1200rpm then when it warms up it jusmps

to around 1600rpm's i tryed cleaning my ISV but still doing it.Should i get a new one?

Any thing else anyone thinks it could be.

Have it set up before you buy any parts. A bad ISV usually cycles the revs up and down. Make sure the throttle cable isn't over tight and the closed throttle switch is making.

 

Disconnect the blue temp plug and adjust the tick over with the screw. Reconnect the plug and off you go.

Is your blue temperature sensor working fine?

Pay some attention to him, try cleaning up by dissambling it (very easy to do)!

Is your exaust always popping either? Check the Lambda Probe / harness (it tells the ECU how to control the mixture)

I will clean the blue temperature sensor and see if that helps.What should i use to clean it?No poping from the exaust.The Car Ruus good just at 1500rpm.

fryfreek, you can always switch the temperaure probes, connect the blue conector into the black and vice-versa.

If your problem dissapears, you know what to do!

I cleaned up mine temperature sensors with some very thin sandpaper (it had a lot of crap!)

Always use a good coolant, not regular water. It prevents problems like this :!:

Ok i tryed switching the probes and did not work.Any other ideas would help alot.

Any other info someone needs to help just let me know.

Ok more exploring today and i found this.If i start the car hot it will idle around 950

and not move no matter what ac running etc.but if i give it any gas it idles at 1500

and if i turn on the ac it go up and down between 1500-2000.

any ideas?

Ok i think i have got it now.The vac sys was fubar.Had the carbon can vac line

from the intake going to where the idle screw should have been with no screw.

every thing better now with the screw hole pluged and the vac sys hooked up

right. Ir runs and idles alot better.but still missing the screw dose anyone have the VW

part# for the screw?
