fryfreek 0 Posted February 18, 2004 When i cold start my 90 g60 it idles around 1200rpm then when it warms up it jusmps to around 1600rpm's i tryed cleaning my ISV but still doing it.Should i get a new one? Any thing else anyone thinks it could be. Thanks Jon
h100vw 0 Posted February 19, 2004 Have it set up before you buy any parts. A bad ISV usually cycles the revs up and down. Make sure the throttle cable isn't over tight and the closed throttle switch is making. Disconnect the blue temp plug and adjust the tick over with the screw. Reconnect the plug and off you go. kongo127 0 Posted February 19, 2004 Is your blue temperature sensor working fine? Pay some attention to him, try cleaning up by dissambling it (very easy to do)! Is your exaust always popping either? Check the Lambda Probe / harness (it tells the ECU how to control the mixture)
fryfreek 0 Posted February 20, 2004 I will clean the blue temperature sensor and see if that helps. What should i use to clean it?No poping from the exaust. The Car Ruus good just at 1500rpm. Thanks for helping a Corrado Newb Jon
kongo127 0 Posted February 20, 2004 fryfreek, you can always switch the temperaure probes, connect the blue conector into the black and vice-versa. If your problem dissapears, you know what to do! I cleaned up mine temperature sensors with some very thin sandpaper (it had a lot of crap!) Always use a good coolant, not regular water. It prevents problems like this :!:

kongo127 0 Posted February 23, 2004 That is very strange... Have you already checked the idle screw? I´m almost sure that this is a mechanical problem...
