skutch 0 Posted January 23, 2011 Just done the optional extras decoder for my corrado and found out that it was sent out with alloy wheels 8jx18, so what i'm wanting to know is what wheels would they have been? VW must have had some sort of set up for corrado extras. Also it came in the LC3Y colour which is the bordeaux red, result. The colour it is now is black so that one was a surprise. Here's the link to the decoder: http://igorweb.org/equidec/Default.aspx
RW1 0 Posted January 23, 2011 That site is not 100%. Some decodes will raise an eyebrow or two. .
skutch 0 Posted January 23, 2011 I know the colour is correct it's just the wheels that get me, so what wheels and sizes went out at the VW factory? Do you know of any other reliable decoder sites about?
RW1 0 Posted January 23, 2011 Not for the Corrado. More modern VAG cars, its all in ERWIN and more not on the label. Can you pop up your codes line by line. (No chassis number required ;) ) .

RW1 0 Posted January 23, 2011 Yeah, need just a little more though. On the boot sticker only there is string of numbers & letters above the chassis number line. What are these? Plus what is the chassis number year letter. ie. the bit highlighted in read below. wvwzzz50zPK034017 .
Pat_McCrotch 0 Posted January 23, 2011 VW must have adjusted something in the last few months as vehicles our age now bring up some strange references. Mine is showing as having 19 inch wheels with 225/45/17 tyres!
RW1 0 Posted January 23, 2011 The codes are not specific to an exact option say like a Speedline wheel. They are associated with factory build so different factories & differnt times, the code represents a wheel on the production line at that time. That is why that decoder is not 100%. . skutch 0 Posted January 23, 2011 I'm using the service book sticker for info as the c is in my lock up 5 mile away, so the other letter that was required from the vin is L

skutch 0 Posted January 23, 2011 Thanks Chris, That'll explain why i have 1 sebring left over in the boot then, someone has changed the other 4 over to the BBS wheel from the G60, are they called RZ and would they have come with centre caps that had the dots around the central hex badge or ones that had the triangle pattern in them extended from the wheel, if you get what i mean.
