DiElBramz 0 Posted February 10, 2011 at my wits end with this money pit now!!! got an early 1.8 16v (kr engine) bought it about 10 months ago, didnt idle or run right when i first got it to be honest then stopped running altogether 6 months ago. its had new distribuator, ecu, ignition panel, coil package, been to an auto electrician who checked the wiring and timing, although he got it running the car still isnt idling well enough for an MOT. my dad thinks it could be something to do with the fuel injection system and wonders if this can be adjusted?? it runs poor at low revs but once heated up runs a little bit better! adolf1976 0 Posted February 10, 2011 hi mate. Not familiar with the 1.8 kr but have you searched the forum. There is a wealth of info on here from isv to throttle bodie. Mine had similar idle issues and after searching and replacing most bits turned out to be the metering haed.
