Bobby 0 Posted February 24, 2004 ok the head is off on my h reg 1.8 16v corrado was wondering what i should be looking for to see if the bottom end and pistons are still ok, as it got a cooking. also i know i need to have the head skimmed but does it need pressure testing aswell? the headgasket i took off was well and truely dead and had melted one port where the coolant goes through. anyway when taking the head off the timing belt was looking a bit worse for wear so i cut it off, how hard is it to put on a new timing belt and what else could be changed whilst the heads off? any ideas how to flush the cooling system to make sure theres no bits left in of the gasket. thanks Bobby :D
