Forum RR day feeler, choose the date best for you

Just gauging how much interest there would be in a forum RR day.

 

Will be at Ajec racing in Gloucester and will cost something like £35 for 3 runs. More cars we get the cheaper it will be. It is about 5 mins off J11 of the M5. Aiming to do this in May just waiting to hear back on what dates they have free.

 

They have rollers for AWD cars so the AWD VRT's can have ago too :D

I was up there today with a open RR day and the guys up there are really professional and enthusiastic about their cars. Their eyes lit up when they found out a Corrado wanted a go

 

They have a nice big TV screen so every one can see the results from each run.

 

I'm aiming to get 20-30 cars.

It's prob best to say when you're thinking to get a real idea of numbers.

Put a few dates and a poll up.

They have gotten back to me with Saturday the 14th of May. I have asked if there are any more dates available so just waiting to hear back.

Right they can do any weekend in May on a saturday.

Can they cope with low G60's or is that a general RR thing? It has a baffled sump too but if they can then I'll be interested, I need a figure for my insurance!

TBH a lot will depend on how low your car actually is. If it's just "low" in the normal sense you'll be ok but if you're driving a real ground scraper then bring spanners and be prepared to take the bumper off.

 

I would suggest that if your car is unable to clamber over a normal speed bump without scraping the front spoiler you could well be in trouble. The baffled sump will make no difference, and indeed with a G60 you'd be better off than a slammed VR6 whose sump is lower than yours is.

My splitter is about 1.5 inch's at most off the ground and it only just scrapped getting onto the rollers. But they have planks of wood to help get low cars onto it :D

Just checked how far away it is and 220 miles is maybe a tad on the distant side specially when I got Rtts to pay for aswell! Sorry guys!
