stu37 0 Posted March 26, 2011 Hi guys just wondering what exactly is needed to swap over an 02A 16v gearbox into the VR? Im sure I have seen a thread on here of someone removing the bell housing but cannot be certain, I am just checking as I am meant to be picking a 2.0ltr 16v box up tommorow! Has anyone fitted a 2.0ltr box into a vr and if so differences in top end etc? Any help would be greatly appreciatted guys. Many thanks in advance!!!! dannyboy 0 Posted March 26, 2011 im pretty sure the bell housing is the only difference,all 4 cylinder engine boxes are interchangeable,only vr6 one is different.someone correct me if im wrong.Gears can be put into a VR6 box though. Ive a ASD box on my G60 and gives me the longest gears you can get in 02a box.gears 1-3 gice massive accelartion making the most use of G60 tourqe and long 4-5 gear for motorway use.I would be inclined to say theyd be great in a VR6 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
