HELP g60 is sputtering bad

Recommended Posts

My car runs fine untill I am driving it about 20-30 minutes. After that, I give it gas and it starts to sputter. I give it more gas and it takes off pretty good, but if I keep it at a constant RPM, It will sputter again. I thought it was the o2 sensor, so I unplugged that. I am going to replace that today, but even with that unplugged it still does it. It was raining today, do you think this is a sign of water in my intake?

any advise would be great.

It sounds to me like your hall sender in the distributor is breaking down as it gets hot. :?

These are known to fail with age and the heat as the engine warms up causes them to act up causing the problems you describe.

Check the pipe from the throttle body to the ECU too. It needs to be a metre long and not have any holes in it. Like Henny says, the Dissys are common problems on G60 for some reason but it is EXACTLY the same as the one on a Digifant GTI, so there is no need to pay extra for a G60 one!!
