Swompy 0 Posted April 8, 2011 Right I went to have a go at changing the passengers window motor today and got stumped at the first hurdle :( How do I remove the motor as its rivited in? is the only option to drill it out and get some replacement screws and rubber bushes? Any tips would be very much appreciated. The weather is getting hot and I would like to open both windows and not worry if the passengers one is going to go back up or not. Supercharged 2 Posted April 8, 2011 Yep - drill out the 3 rivetts!
Swompy 0 Posted April 8, 2011 I thought so. How does the motor connect to the mechanism? is it just a case of disconnecting it?
Supercharged 2 Posted April 8, 2011 I'm not actually sure but heard you can do it... I've only ever changed complete regulators as the wires usually go rusty and snap.

Graeme_Winter 0 Posted April 12, 2011 I changed my complete mechanism and motor all in one go, just drilled centre of rivet n they just pop out! When re connecting I just used three bolts to reattach the motor back to the inside of the door! be carefull of your fingers though nipped mine quite a few times trying to get the window n mechanism to run correct on the runners! If this is any help? Cheers Graeme
