Since I`ve been on here for years and had a variety of Corrados lost the love regained the love etc etc. I`ve had two Storms blue and green,a G60 two VR6`s now this Satin Silver VR6.

Thought it was about time I put up some pics of my current Corrado.Its a 1992 VR6 first registered 1/8/1992,so one of the first VR6`s in the country.

So its an early model dash and door cards.Finished in satin silver.

I bought it off the original owner who had kept it garaged for years.Its only done a genuine 67K miles

I have owned it for about 18 months and so far its sat in my garage a bit unloved as I have been busy with other things and a back injury left me more or less immobile for a while.Took it for an MOT last year and it passed no problem,that was the only time its been on the road since I`ve owned it!! A total distance of 2 miles!!

That brings us up to date. Now I have been busy doing odd jobs around the car with the intention of getting it on the road this summer---rather than buying a motorbike!

I have service it changed oil and filters petrol filter brake discs and pads,got the thermostat housing to change as its developed a slight leak

I have fitted a late model black leather interior,just finished the door looms this week and everything works as Volkswagen intended.

Need a cheap set of speedlines as I`ve just picked up a set of coilovers with much cheepness!!

Cheers,you still don`t see many silver ones and it does look good when cleaned up.

I`ve got a few bits and pieces to get going to the local Vw dealers today to buy,foilage gasket,crack pipe,top mounts.

Gonna ask about roof strips to see if they are still available.

Going to fit the coilovers next week and see what they are like.Cheapy Jom ones off the bay,will see how they ride.

I`ve had koni coilovers and FK previously and was very impressed with the Konis,but budget would not stretch that far !!

Got a set of Eibach springs lying around so if the coilovers don`t work out I will go down the Koni t/a and Eibach springs route.

I`ve also got a set of hideous crystal rear lights that I`m in the process of de-blinging

I`m looking at Lamin X to put on the lenses see how they look.

Also got a full late dash to fit but will sit on that at the moment,will probably keep the early dash over the summer and see how it goes.

I`ve also got my BBS RX 2`s to refurb they are off a Golf Anni so they can be split and the centres coloured if required.Jury`s out at the moment was thinking of going black or gunmetal centres or may remain conservative and go silver!!

Ok heres a bit of an update on Project SFTW.

Been quite busy decided to swap the early dash that was in the car for a late version.

Just thnk the late version is more pleasing on the eye.One or two areas of difference between the two made me decide to take out the whole early shell and replace it with the later version.I have replaced all the wiring looms for all the switchgear,the only one that didn`t need changng was the headlight wiring.All the others are different.At the moment I am waiting for a heater control cable and a Corrado MAF stalk to complete the change.Also picked up a set of Speedlines to give that OEM look.Will get a few pcs up later of the progress.I`m on a different laptop and all the pics are on the other.
