I thought I was just taking over getting the website upto scratch - not actual club committee member!

 

I don't mind - just wish I could be told things rather than hear them 2nd hand.

Who do I answer to?

 

I have the whole site on disk, so can start work when required - but I don't know what I can do without first consulting the commitee, etc etc... I don't want to annoy my fellow commitee members!

Right, okay. I can probably help you with the what "alterations" need doing to the site, I might be able to help with the "Domain" problem (already have a new domain setup for it actually http://www.corradoclub.co.uk anyobdy?), you answer to the club members, but more specifically the rest of the committee (so don't stuff it ;-) )

Well, I actually registered it for the club's email addresses so I could standardise them. :lol:

 

Seems a quicker name than "vw-corrado-club.co.uk", too many dots and dashes for me....

 

If you want I'll put you down as an Admin user on the domain. It's got pretty much as much space as you are gonna need for the web-site (I've leased the server that it's on, so I can control it). If you can keep the "forum" seperate, but we can put a link on the web-site to the forum and probably the "yahoo-group" too, as lots of people seem to be double posting backwards and forwards.

 

I'll be in after about 10:30 tomorrow, so ping me then... :shock:

Would keep the forum separate anyway, don't worry about that - and as for the domain and hosting - great, means I don't have to use my own bandwidth :)
