jaded2882 0 Posted May 3, 2011 Does anyone know of a company that makes these for Corrados? I mean something similar to MG ZRs have like this: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/$(KGrHqUOKkME1vzQCNL!BNp,rn!+lg~~_35.JPG A bit of my bumper is melted from when the exhaust wasn't firm enough- I'd quite like to cover up the damage and protect it from anymore. I did think about making my own but reckon it will look a bit pikey...
CazzaVR 0 Posted May 3, 2011 Mate, that would look absolutely terrible on a Rado IMHO! Sounds like your exhaust needs re-hanging. One of my old 16v's had a dodgy DTM upswept exhaust that was badly fitted, and it had melted the bumper a little. Swapped it for a Magnex ASAP!
jaded2882 0 Posted May 3, 2011 Ye I wasn't planning to have a shiny one, would probably spray it body colour. The exhaust is fine now as it has been rehung, I just thought this might cover up the damage without having to get a new bumper!
Ralphead 0 Posted May 4, 2011 Is that an 088 in your boot? If you're handy with wood, I'm guessing you are, you could make quite a neat looking one like I did for my old Rover turbo. I made a former roughly the shape of my bumper from some softwood and hammered a peice of aluminium sheet around it. A bit of trial and error. I fixed it on with pop rivets and painted it and it looked ok. I'm not into stick on bits but it saved my bumper melting away.
jaded2882 0 Posted May 4, 2011 Ye it's a MS260, I'm pretty good with wood on a big scale but not that good at fiddly stuff like that! I was thinking of some kind of mould/former but wasn't realy sure how to go about it. My mate does a lot of carving so I might borrow some bits off him and give it a go.
