Wing Mirror Spacers

Recommended Posts

Hope you don't mind me crashing in on the Corrado forums, but I thought you may be able to help me out with a question. I have a TVR with Corrado mirrors and am trying to get hold of the spacer that fits between the mirror and the mount. It has a part no. on it, but my local (very unhelpful) VW dealer can't track it down (or just can't be bothered). The part no. is 38089 - which probably doesn't make any sense as it doesn't seem long enough. Would appreciated if anyone could give me the real VW number so that I can have a near chance of the parts guy ordering one for me!

Welcome, pretty sure it's this: 535857543, but think it's obsolete. Check out the breakers classifieds- sure you'll find one in there :)

Thank you, found it here:

http://autopartmaster.com/en/?action=catalog_show&cat=vw&t_id=112236&added_=VOLKSWAGEN%20Scirocco/Corrado%201993%20%CA%F3%E7%EE%E2

Looks like it could have a 01C suffix:

And fingers crossed, if it's available on that site - maybe the dealer can still get hold of them?

Hello, I'm afraid that's just a plastic gasket that sits between the door and the mirror - I think the spacer you are on about is the bit that extends the mirror on the TVR's so not a Corrado part - can't TVR help?
