ryanmac 10 Posted May 16, 2011 Hi all As you all know I am new to owning a corrado. I am replacing the wiring loom due to a mishap and when I phone for parts the first question from anyone is if the car is OBD 1 or OBD 2. What is the difference? I take it OBD2 is a better system and if it is can I upgrade my car to OBD 2 or is it a big job. Ryan
quicky1980 0 Posted May 16, 2011 (edited) plenty of features on how to do the conversion on here iirc. basically its an updated version and will allow the vr6 to run smoother and better. bit of a pig to convert from what ive seen but if your confident, give it a try. all corrados are odb1 standard. KADVR6 0 Posted May 16, 2011 i have owned three corrado's and the first two were OBD1, my current corrado is OBD2 and the difference is amazing, totally smoother throughout the revs, and at idle it just sits at 750rpm and will not fluctuate at all. a well worth conversion if you ask me.
