VW_OwneR_85 1 Posted May 24, 2011 Hello,my drivers door has about 1/4" up & down play in it, i have the correct replacement pins, just want to know if theres any special tools or methods that you guys use to replace them?. idealy i want top press them out useing a G-clamp of some sort and abit of small pipe over the pin but space is limited. thanks.. emu 0 Posted May 24, 2011 you can always take them off to get more space, I've been using hummer and big screw driver to replace one. Have used a felt between screw driver and doors pin to avoid any paint damage. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
VW_OwneR_85 1 Posted May 30, 2011 yea i tried takeing the door off but looks like you have to remove all the electrics in the door? as theres no quick release coupling for the electrics like you get on some cars, ill just try harder with the door attached,cheers Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
