I've got the same problem at the moment!! I've took the isv off and cleaned it out also did the same with the throttle body but still had the same problem.

Had it plugged into a computer and came up with 3 problems....

Maf has limited response

Lambda has limited response

Engine speed sensor has no signal

Might be worth having a look at them mate.

Hope this helps out, Jon

Got ignition pack off cannot see anything wrong with it unless internal, seen patern ones on ebay at £70.00 might just buy it and see if that eliminates it.

Took 2 torques screws out of back of ignition pack but cannot part the thing don't want to force it is it a sealed unit? cheers Chris.

yeah possibly, but not 100%

had a similar issue myself, coming up to a roundabout and the car starts to misfire but it did pick up and be fine for the rest of the day, same happened again the other day.

This morning the car wouldnt start at all. Turned out that the a couple of the HT leads were arching onto the pack. So check this to.

Coilpack would be a misfire and would show on vagcom if its misfiring at the point you scan - obv scan with the car running. MAF would also show on vagcom
