8vMatt 1 Posted July 10, 2011 Just having a bit of a pointless look around various Ebay's at the moment as I'm a bit bored. Noticed there are a fair number of cars for sale with a big price for what would be a regular sale over here. A few examples- France A very rare Reiger bodied G60 76,000kms http://annonces.ebay.fr/viewad/Corrado-G60-volkswagen/5035187266 A near standard looking VR6 148,000kms http://annonces.ebay.fr/viewad/corrado-vr6/5030898385 1992 1.8 16v Early interior http://annonces.ebay.fr/viewad/CORRADO-VW-16V/5034463458 Germany 2.0 8v http://cgi.ebay.de/VW-Corrado-2-0-8V-sehr-gepflegt-SAMMLERSTUCK-/110709979814?pt=Automobile&hash=item19c6d43aa6 G60 not very standard http://cgi.ebay.de/VW-Corrado-G60-/110713541699?pt=Automobile&hash=item19c70a9443 Obviously I'm not saying all these cars will sell for this much but thought it was interesting people are asking these kinds of prices over in Europe. Pat_McCrotch 0 Posted July 10, 2011 German and French used cars always seem to command much higher prices anyway.

boost monkey 0 Posted July 11, 2011 I love it when people mask off their number plates instead of editing them on the computer
tony_ack 0 Posted July 11, 2011 Couple of notes of caution... first remember the Euro is very strong at the moment in relation to the dollar and pound, so these prices may appear higher than they would be otherwise (either Euro prices haven't fallen to reflect the strong euro, or the exchange rate will fall back to about 1.30 - 1.40 euros per pound). Take this into account, and the VR6 at 5000 euros is about standard for a low mileage (which it is) excellent condition example. Also, none of the auctions have attracted any bids - all that matters is the final sale price, not the ad price. All that said, prices appear to be creeping up slightly over here.
