Right, im looking to buy a g60, and i cant find any g60s in the newer style, is it possible to make the front end of the older models the same as the front end of the newer ones? sorry if this has been asked before, i did try looking

Yep. Bonnet, wings, bumper, grille and lights. Not exactly cheap to do, although you can offset the price by selling your front end.

cheers for the quick reply, are all the parts interchangeable? cause its more the lights and grille, maybe front bumper that i would want to change. its just the one im looking at buying has about 500 slats in the grille :thumbleft:

The grille will need one of the bottom tabs removing IIRC. The light lenses and surrounds are different. Fogs/indicators are completely different units. I'd just change the grille! :lol:

haha, your probably right, changine the grille sounds easier!, whats different about the fogs and indicators then? they look the same. sorry about all the questions, i dont wanna f*ck anything up! lol

The later fogs come built into a plastic surround that the indicator sits in. The earlier ones are completely separate, and slightly different in shape.

What makes you want to change the front end so badly. Its alot of hassle just for minor changes, ones that you wont really notice with the naked eye. Bonnet is bulges out instead of in, fogs/indicators are more flush with the leading edge of the bumper.

 

Of course its up to you, im just curious tis all :D

 

Above answers your indicator fog light question, i think (but not 100%) you'll need late fogs and indicators.

cheers. It might just be the grille but I think the older front end looks more dated, the newer one just appeals more to me. its only in the lights and grille. or maybe the one im looking at just needs the lights cleaned? lol

I still can't work out the difference between early and late panels, despite parking my early next to a late every day! :lol:

Yeah i agree the old 7 slat grilles do look more dated. Jonathan - the later wings are also wider to accomodate the VRs wider track, the bumper is wider also.
