Bobby 0 Posted March 7, 2004 when changing the timing belt on a 1.8 16v is it nessecary to remove the water pump pulley as i've removed the crank pulley and tried to remove the water pump one by using two allen key sockets but they keep slipping :( , is there any way i can jam the water pump pulley as it doesn't make it easy when it keeps rotating. i've managed to get one of the three allan key bolt out just two left. Just out of interest what is the pulley just above the crankshaft pulley (its under the timing belt pulley) is it and oil pump pulley?? one last question can someone give me quick guide on timing up a 1.8 16c corrado, does the lower pulley need to be put back on at a certian position (i have marked it when i removed it). thanks Bobby :D Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
