My drivers side window does this and I havent got round to fixing it yet. Apparently its a plastic bit that clips to the bottom of the window then attaches to the metal guide thing that comes off the glass and slides to the bottom of the door.

Ive been told it can be fixed by putting some silicon on it then pushing it back on to the glass to secure it.

Joe M - could you give a better explanation about the plastic clip locations and what type of adhesive should be used?

funky - did you just grease all the tracks?

Having just had my side glass replaced, after stripping it my self, the only plastic clips are a ball and socket fit, these go in the runners at base of glass and fix to operating mech. Might of just popped out(mine were a tight fit though), the other reason for rattles could be worn rubbers allowing the glass to move a bit. Its a 30min job to strip down the door and check your workings, worth a look.
