Is there anyway to make the handbrake look a bit more presentable?

 

Mine did have a little leather sheath that was knackered so I pulled that off, its currently just a nasty exposed plastic handle and the rectangle plastic cover is broke do I've ditched that.

 

I bought a leather gaitor off ebay but it didnt fit at all, was very loose on the handle so had to zip tie it.

 

Is there anything that fits nice or from another VW?

I agree I'm afraid... The centre console and the little plastic cover that slip over the handle don't look that good at all. Even new... thing is I have no idea of any other alternative :scratch:

I was planning getting one of these as the crappy plastic bit on mine has broken and it was always getting caught on my shirt sleeve!

It is the same, I couldnt get it to fit at all, it just looks terrible.

I think you're mean't to slip those leather gaiters over the plastic that's already on the end of the handle. Then you can trim the other bit down along the sides so it keeps it's shape a bit.

 

There's a guide on here somewhere.

 

Also, replacement leather handles are obsolete from VW.
