ray_vr6 1 Posted September 7, 2011 Hi Just got my hands on an early centre dash a new polo cup holder unit and a OE Auxillary gauges mounting. The intention is to move the radio to ashtray/lighter area, install the cup holder in its place and install volt meter and oil pressure gauge in the cubby hole using the OE mounting. My question is - where does the mounting panal attach too in the cubby hole? - http://the-corrado.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=23153&d=1296920578 TIA

davidwort 0 Posted September 8, 2011 ... - where does the mounting panal attach too in the cubby hole? - it doesn't, the original dash had no hole for wires or mounting points, there were a couple of metal brackets that you had to screw into the plastic with self tapping screws, one of the brackets went obselete before 1995! you can however easily make something up with some radio mounting strips (like mechano) or similar, just be very careful measuring the fixing position as the early gauge panel isn't a great fit and is difficult to position just right. ray_vr6 1 Posted September 9, 2011 I see - makes sense now that there must have been an additional bracket! Thanks for your help
