cdem 0 Posted September 22, 2011 I've had a read through the thread about the heating working on setting 4 only but my problems different. Ever since replacing the heater matrix my heating has only ever worked on off, and it's a pretty slow speed. Setting 1,2,3 and 4 are all of. Any ideas as to what this may be? I've got an early corrado by the way
davidwort 0 Posted September 23, 2011 take the fan speed switch out of the dash and check how it switches with a multimeter first, it's a feed in and 4 separate contacts out, you can work out the live feed in from the wiring colours to the plug for the back of it, sounds like the switch is well and truly knackered, don't know what else would cause that symptom, I don't think you can get the connector plug on wrong. quicky1980 0 Posted September 23, 2011 trapped earth/positive wire?? Follow the wiring back to the fusebox and fan, it may give you a clue.
cdem 0 Posted November 9, 2011 Just thought id update as ive fixed the problem. There is a fuse which is hidden on top of the fuse box. I havnt seen this mentioned anywhere and didnt even know it existed until i had the dash out to chase wires around. Replaced the 10amp fuse and the heaters all work as they should :)
