ray_vr6 1 Posted November 11, 2011 Hi As part of my winter project, I will be fitting an oil pressure gauge to my 1990 16v. I have bought a vdo dual pole sender and wondered if anyone can help me with the following. There are two switches in the engine bay one of which I assume is replaced by the vdo unit - but which one? Also there is a spare connector in the wirieing by the present oil switch which again I assume is for the use of a gauge but does anyone know where this then apperars in the dash area? ray_vr6 1 Posted March 9, 2012 In a post I read about installing a dual pole sender it says to replce the one that has the blue connector but on my 16v it sits behind the other one. and there is not enough room for the larger dual pole. Is the other one the oil temperature sender and if so can I swap them around ie put the temp sender at the rear and mount the dual pole at the front?
