A Weird One

Recommended Posts

Driving today and the battery light started flashing, as that had caught my eye I then watched as the oil light begun to flash. Then I lost power and had to pull to the side, but as I was pulling to the side it seemed to find itself and I slipped it in second and set off on my merry way. Everything was fine. Then on the way home it's just done it again. Flipped the hazards on, the engine still runs but if I put it in gear, no power. Switched engine off and restarted and everything was fine again.

Any ideas people?

Surely if power is lost from the battery, even just due to loose connection, no lights would flash and engine would cut out due to no spark??

COuld it be the alternator on the way out and you drained the battery - wouldnt take long to drain the battery thats not been charged by the alternator. Maybe its an intermittent alternator issue.
