Just thought id say hello! and that im new to owning a Corrado.

 

a little bit about my past volkswagens;

 

I originally started out with a 1986 GTI, it was quite a pile.

sold that and picked up a 91 GTI VVV

it was an obd1 VR swapped GTI, pretty much everything from a corrado except the shell itself.

Just sold that and picked up a 78 rabbit for $600, pretty good price for the miles.

 

and just last week I picked up my first corrado, a black G60 with ~120k miles, for $1800. doesnt look that great, but ive got some plans. VR swap within two weeks. :]

I have the stock sebring wheels that will be going on it, so ignore the different wheels.

I'm thinking the same... You know you'll need to get the VR6 subframe for the mounting points and run it with a larger wheelbase? also the bonnet will need to be replaced. You may as well start with a cheep VR6?

 

Although, I do like the look of the early cars in comparison to the newer ones... you doing it just for the looks?

Well, Having a vr6 and then going to a stock g60 just doesn't feel right to me. I've got connections to parts so I figured I'd swap a vr into it, I'm keeping the 4 lug setup but everything else is being swapped over to vr. Eventually I will supercharge it.

quick update. these are what wheels will be going on the car, 16x7.5 front and 16x8 rear, 3 piece epsilons :].

 

stoked to see the final result.

 

also, G60 engine is out, and the VR is waiting to go in.
