Wheel advice Re staggered offset and wheel choice

Recommended Posts

Hi all. I am after a bit of help. I have a 92 Corrado VR6 5 stud lowered about 30-40 mm on coilovers. I have found what I would like a set of Dare DR-RS. They have given dimensions as 8X16 ET20 front and 9X16 ET15 for the rear. Just wanted to confirm they would fit and not need to hack arches. Cheers guys

up front is a 7.5 and i cant remember the et as im also useing a hub centric spacer to clear the caliper..

Cheers for all advice. Apparently they don't do 7.5 but I could get 8 all round I believe with a 20 offset would that sort the arch rolling issue. As I would rather not have to do it as I have just repainted car and softer the arches.

7.5x16 et 35( I think) and 9x16 et 15 on rear on a vr6 had to do quite alot of arch rolling on the rear and the fronts needed rolling too and I still catch on big bumps g60 and specs down have a more narrow track so don't need arch work so much!

Bristol baron. Cheers for that. I take it I will get away without modifications to car as the reply seemed confident.

my 7.5 are 195/45 and my 9's are 205/40 :p lol depends what you want really! i rekon 195/45 would look awesome stretch on an 8

personally i wouldnt fit 195's to a VR as their narrower than standard tyre width. [they would look good though!] 205's will sit nice, but not overpowering.

205's on the rear and 195's on the front of my 9J's

Stretch is quite extreme on the front but looks good :)

Any pics of the 195s fitted? Im guessing 195/45? What brand are they?

Sorry for all the questions but I find tyre sizes vary from make to make.

Falcon give the best stretch on a 195/45 7.5J i find. I had Yoko S Drive and they gave no stretch and i had even more issues with arch catching! ill find some pics too if i can :)

Baz when did you grow up and start fitting wide tyres eh? Lol

When I realised that this was beyond ridiculous..

And this helps gives my now much needed traction!

I would run 195's on an 8 myself, but find it hard recommending it to others..

Cheers for the advice guys. Will end up with 205/40/16 I think on 8's all round and hope for the best. That just means I have a set of speedlines to sell.

Baz, that top pic is a 195/40 on a 9 right? I'd never run that personally. What you've got now looks nice.
