Long shot.....history of my corrado

Just thought I'd try and see if there are any active members who might have previously owned my Corrado, or know of it in some way, had a a few months ago now, reg is L298 GYU, 2.0 16v 9A, it's the dark purple "plum" colour

 

I know it's a very long shot and I'm not expecting any replies but hey! Who knows :D

I've just found this on the internet,

and had a go at putting my details in.

Mine has come back as:

 

Region = Germany

 

Factory / Manufacturer = Karmann, Osnabruck

 

Mark = VW

 

Model = Corrado

 

Year = 1994

 

Serial Number = it tells you the serial number for your vehicle, I think.

 

I haven't bought a passcode but it says if you did,

it tells you the full standard spec on your car,

trim, engine, paint colour and so on.

 

Or if someone is thinking of buying a Corrado,

you can just enter in the vehicle VIN number for free,

and it'll give you a brief list of details like with mine above.

The same with the engine number and paint code.

It'll confirm if the car has changed colour to the one you've been looking at.
