wiring diagram for head units

Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the head unit power, ground etc?

I want to know which wire is switched power and if it is related to the cigarette lighter lighting and lighbulb in the ashtray as none of these work.

I managed to short the head unit's switched power supply which blew fuse 22 - changed this and now I can't get switched power to the H/U or the ashtray and lighter illumination.

The cig lighter still heats up though!

Any ideas?

maybe your bulb has gone. and thi come on with your dash lighting. its one bulb for that and the ashtray.

 

so unrelated to your HU.

 

maybe your ignition sw is broken. mine did that too. replaced it, and its been fine ever since.

Brian - so your head unit was not working until you changed the ignition switch?

Will change the bulbs and see if that makes a difference.

well it worked, but i had to wiggle like mad at the key.

Really took very little time at all - lucky I had a very long, thin screwdriver to get the awkward screw out. Very pleasing indeed!

i was driving today and whilst sat in traffic my radio turned itself off, then it came back on, then the fuse went. i got home, igintion off, radio off, and tried to put another fuse in and it blew it as i was putting it in.

 

 

anyone any idea?
