jenks 0 Posted March 26, 2004 This is a tricky 1 to explain but after the first 5 days off buying it shes just not running rite! At 1st at around 4k/5k she started hesitating, running lumpy and just missing under acceleration, went to the garage ( near enuf a VW specialist ) And he said that the rocker cover gasket was leaking oil into spark plug 3, so new gasket - problem fixed! But when i picked her up she started doing it again but this time around 2K again wen accelarating, it just jumps and starts missing, then when coming to a halt in 2nd gear, the engines struggling to stay on and its close to cutting out? Has anyone had this prob wif theres? Im taking back down 2morrow morning to the garage but i know it'l be a fueling or igntion prob that'l be hard to find. Any suggestions? scruffydubbers 0 Posted March 26, 2004 yer i guess its gotta be fueling or ignition i would start by giving it a good service if u have nt had her long plugs, leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm, fuel filter, oil filter, oil etc and clean the metering head up and pipe work, should run smoother after that, and if it still does it you can iliminate those from being the prob Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
