half-9 0 Posted March 30, 2004 Hi I've heard that if an engine's timing is too far advanced the engine will ping - which is supposed to sound like marbles rattling - BUT is this 'a faint bag of marbles rattling in the distance' or is it a violent marbles in a bottle shaking close to my ears?? - I am hearing something but do not know what it is....
