Asif 0 Posted March 31, 2012 I would like to upgrade my VW Corrado Storm...??? Or Shall I leave her standard??? Does anyone have any ideas thats not going to make her loose her value.... I was thinking stripping the engine and rebuilding with lighter upgraded parts, redoing the body work, new 17" BBS wheels, shes already sat on the floor with a 40mm drop. Would it be wise putting upgraded flush door handles, taking off the side protectors, maybe even a remap, carbon fibre bonnet, supercharger?? The list goes on! Anyone a Corrado Specialist with all the know-how and some good ideas?? Much Appreciated Az ps.. went to an alloy shop last week and he said i will be struggling to find wheels to fit with a 40mm drop...
OSV 0 Posted April 1, 2012 Most mods won't add value but will certainly cost. Its best to consider why you want to make the changes, what your prepared to spend and your goal. I wouldn't spend a fortune moving away from what is a capable and intersting car in its own right for a 20 yr old coupe. 40mm drop is not an issue for wheels but as always, width, offsert tyre choice etc are vital
Asif 0 Posted April 1, 2012 What would be the correct offset for a 17" wheel?
OSV 0 Posted April 1, 2012 For a rim no wider than 8.5 you would go for et 35, but spoke design etc may also be an issue for brake clearance.
TanVr6 0 Posted June 5, 2012 Light mods on a Storm I think personally. But then again making a Storm even rare by supercharging?!? Turbo?!? = more fun n more money! I would like to do more to mine but not sure either!!! Almost 200 bhp!!! More would be better!?! :D
