Josh's US spec DIGI 1 2.0L 16v Corrado (former G60)

Ok, here is the parts list:

 

• (former G60) Now has a N/A 2.0L 16v

• TT header

• TT high flow catalytic converter

• TT cat back exhaust

• Borla muffler

• Koni adjustable shocks

• Ground control springs / coil over

• 50mm intake manifold

• 268 cams

• Bahn Brenner fuel rail

• VW Motorsport parts in the block

• 16 inch black race wheels (11lbs a piece without tires)

• Tinted tail lights

• Tinted side markers

 

There are more things, I really just cant think of any at the moment. Here are the pictures!

This is a picture of the car when i had HIDs installed. i had to sell them to pay for the engine swap. im going to be putting in the e36 headlights with HIDs as soon as i have the money.

Got any more photos of that fuel rail?? and any of the interior? i love the american spec bumpers....nice BRIGHT HID's.

haha, nah...having a 16v corrado in the US is SUPER rare, there is maybe 20 here in the whole US.

 

here is a closer picture of the engine (for the fuel rail):

as for the pictures of the interior, i can get some more soon. the car is still at the shop finishing the swap, it should be done within a month. let me see if i can find anymore pictures of my car for you guys...

that block is like NEW!? jeez man...i wish i lived in the US...i'd be no.21 then.

 

the fuel rail looks realyl good and the red ignition leads really compliment the grey inlet manifold.

Lookin forward to more pics mate...this has to be one of the nicest black corrados i've seen. :mrgreen:

i did the block myself, since i had never done it before, i was a total perfectionist. i think i spend around a week and a half just building that thing. everything on it is perfect. =] this car is my baby. im on over $10K american invested now.

$10k+ wow!! i saw that video you made too...top qaulity stuff there mate, you really do know how to make the VW's look good! some proper Grand Tourismo type playback sequences in there.

 

I love the fact that your car is so clean and so black...it just really suits it well. What are you having done to the interior and how fast is it exactly after all that money has been spent on it? Do you think its been worth your while?

Keep it up mate...i've put it on as my background screen now. 8)

haha i have put a lot of time and effort into this car. the swap alone is costing me around 3-4k american all together now. im just about to pay off the last $1,500 eek. but after that, this thing will be up and going and then i can put more money into fun things... =] more pictures to come.

they are playing with engine down in october. you guys should try and make it out to california. =] i have all of both bands cds.

 

as soon as i get one of your guys' european plate holder i will not be sporting their stickers anymore. =P hook me up with one!

 

what do you guys think of my tail lights? i had them professionally painted for $40 from a local paint shop...they are darker than my paint, but light up perfectly. =]

-where in california? i used to live in the bay area right by san fran and i got some relatives out there. id come out if hot water is playing in that area

dude, they so are. i am in santa cruz which is right on the coast about an hour away from SF. they are going to be playing in the city at a venu called SLIMS Oct. 17th. if you could make it out that would be freaking awesome! i would pre-order your ticket if you needed it. let me know.

i am so stoked. i just got word that my momo seat brakets will be in on monday (today) and also yesterday i got my corrado to finally idle on its own! i need to do some more modifications before it will idle more smoothly but it was actually running without me holding the throttle body open. the car is so close ot being driveable. i cannot wait. once it is driveable, then come breaking in the cams, breaking in the engine, and doing a fair amount of tuning to get it reliable. =] i will update some pictures soon!

i drove it yesterday around my circular driveway...i will be posting a video of it soon hopefully by mid next week. i am waiting on tuning it a bit more and also getting my intake tube on there. but it totaly runs now. i am so excited. =]
