too hot 0 Posted April 2, 2003 Having recently had a change in circumstances,I now have a decision to make and was wondering what you guys think I should do :?: :? :? My VR6 is about to become a weekend toy and no longer my daily driver.(basically I don`t need it :( ) The car is a high mileage average - good condition,FSH,VR6, metallic paint 17" wheels, electric Recaros(worth about £2,500 if you want to buy it) :) It is not a classic low mileage collectors item. :( Now to the point. :D Should I keep the car and use it as the base for Project VR6- Supercharger,Turbo,VSR,cams or 1.8T conversion. :D 8) Fit and paint new bumpers and side skirts. Change the brakes, suspension, leather re-trim. 8) Keep it for shows, dry days, weekends and holidays. 8) Any thoughts
Joe M 0 Posted April 2, 2003 Strip it out, sell the recaros, add a bucket seat and use it as a track car
C6 SVR 0 Posted April 2, 2003 Are they electric, leather, heated recaros? I might be interested in buying them off ya!
vr6paul 0 Posted April 2, 2003 sounds like good fun but i don't think you would have much bother flogging it for the sort of money you are talking about. paul
too hot 0 Posted April 4, 2003 Joe M, Yeah a track car there`s an Idea,I would only need another bigger heavier car and trailer just to take it to Knockhill,(Kames would be hard pushed to get out of second gear  ) C6 SVR, The Recaros are not leather or heated but are in mint condition. However I do not want to go down the road of breaking it for spares 8) vr6paul2003, There is a lot of talk on the E-Group just now about a £3k VR6 with 120k miles whats wrong with it etc.But in fairness to the cars I don`t think £3k or even £2.5k is too bad it is after all a 10 year old car. 8)
