ben_wooduk 0 Posted May 12, 2012 This may well be an immensely stupid question but do i need converters to fit the following wheels to my VR? 4 X 16" WHEELS 5 X 110 ET30 7.5J I'm sure the VR is 5 x 100 if i remember correctly, just wondering if converters are a viable option with the offset etc. Thanks in advance

robo22sri 10 Posted May 13, 2012 Saying that dude it depends on the width of the wheels The standard speedline is et 40 something
bristolbaron 11 Posted May 13, 2012 I'd get them to double check - 5x110 is very unusual, I think they've made a mistake.
BILLCOR 1 Posted May 13, 2012 5x110 suggests Opel, Saab and Vauxhall fitment
ben_wooduk 0 Posted May 13, 2012 Saying that dude it depends on the width of the wheels The standard speedline is et 40 something Nothing stupid mate, just 7.5 width, these are what i'm looking at: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-X-16-AZEV-ALLOY-WHEELS-5-X-110-ET30-7-5J-/140752091456?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item20c57a7940#ht_5570wt_922 I've been searching for a year now for 16" Azev A's and these are the closest i've come. I thought the offset was et35 or was that my old valver? I'd get them to double check - 5x110 is very unusual, I think they've made a mistake. Thats what i thought/hoped, i sent him an email asking what the wheels were fitted to, he doesnt know and suggests the stud offset is correct :(

BILLCOR 1 Posted May 13, 2012 A lot of work for a £80 set of rims, Azevs are also prone to cracking and those ones are in a fair state

StueyB 0 Posted May 13, 2012 It's not really but if they are a £80 set of wheels then possibly too much unless you have access to the engineering equipment and/or supply of discs.

Certainly no access to that sort of equipment unfortunately, but give it another year with no wheels and i may consider it a bit harder!

Although as they are technically a fake I wonder if the quality is the same. Great find though!! I have emailed these to see if they can get hold of them . . . http://www.wheels.uk.com/acatalog/alloy-wheels-azev-a.html Edit . . . Not sure if i'd spalsh out £550 if they arent Azevs but thought i'd check anyway, for a VR i got the following: 'This item does not fit the VW Corrado 1993 53I [1988-1995] Coupe 2.9 VR6 .' Cant even buy them new now! Edited May 16, 2012 by ben_wooduk
StueyB 0 Posted May 16, 2012 Why on earth won't they fit a Corrado VR6 if they are 5x100 and fit golfs..? It's not like the design or offset are anything ridiculous..?

Maybe they just didnt list the C as a compatible car and therefore defaults to this message?
