G60 CS 0 Posted May 16, 2012 Hi Just got hold of some Konig K5000 Seats (R32) and need subframes. I can get Corrado subframes from Konig but they're £320 a pair delivered. I have found someone selling a brand new set of MK2 Scirocco Konig subframes for £180 a pair delivered, anyone know if Mk2 Scirocco subframes will fit a Corrado ? Bazmcc 0 Posted May 18, 2012 Have you thought about just buying the MK4 Koenig frames and fitting a MK4 front mounting point to the corrado?
G60 CS 0 Posted May 18, 2012 Hi Baz Mk4 Konig subframes are the same price as Corrado ones, 320 a pair delivered, Im guessing the Mk2 Scirocco ones are so much cheaper due to lack of demand. The other bonus to Mk2 Scirocco subframes is that theyre height adjustable like the std Corrado subframe. At the moment though I have some Recaro fixed height subframes that fit the Konig's but im missing the rear sliders that slide into the guide rails on the floorpan. You cant remove them from the factory seats as theyre designed not to be removeable so I guess Im either going to have to cut them off a set of std seats or buy new expensive subframes
Bazmcc 0 Posted May 18, 2012 bloody hell that's a bit steep. Even Sparco frames are only about £180 for a pair. But to be honest you could probably make them for about £40. Sounds like a grinder and welder job.
