Working on interior at the moment, again, learning as i go.

 

Trying to work out what some bits are.

 

This is in drivers footwell

Found this coming off fusebox and not connected to anything, suspect it was for a car phone?

Tempted to remove the alarm system, its a vag 5000/scorpion one that come with the car. To do this, would i just remove all the bits i think belong to alarm and car will still start, or is it more involved?

The first pics are the factory/dealer fit immobiliser box. I have just had to remount mine as detailed in my build thread.

Looks like yours is loose too.

The little connectors off the fuse box look very like a phone kit to me.

The last one is a little auxiliary connector block which they all have, not exactly sure why.

Cheers for that.

Think I will leave alarm in for now, wait till I get car running again first.

 

Was another black box in passenger footwell which am sure is also alarm related.

 

Got some other pics to link here, to do with aircon and thermostat housing. Not sure if I am meant to remove a sensor and fit a blank as deleting aircon.

Its the sensor on the right of the three

Seems more wired in than the rest of air con and connects up to this, which i think is for the radiator
